About Asheridgelee My family and I live in the County of Fife, Scotland, where we have, what I would term a small "Home Kennel" where all of our dogs live very much as part of our family.
I am, in general an all round animal lover having grown up with various animals and various breeds of dogs. The first West Highland White that came into my life was our family pet when I was 13 years old.
In 2001 I decided to enter the world of showing and the West Highland was the breed I decided would be the one. It ticked all the boxes for me. So we started our hunt for a little show West Highland.
Asheridgelee is my Affix which I have held since 2001.
It is derived in memory of Fife lady Jennie Lee (Baroness Lee of Asheridge) during her life she did some fantastic work for Fife and working people in general. Her hard work involved contribution to the setting up of The Open University. Although no relation at all, I felt it was nice to recognise someone local to us for their hard work.
